Description of Cherhill at Sunrise

This is a painting of the Cherhill White Horse in Wiltshire, which is one of several “geoglyphs” in southern England. These figures are made by cutting the turf away to expose the white chalk beneath. The Cherhill White Horse was not far from Bath Academy of Art, which I attended from 1983-86.
